South Waikato News - - SPORT -

Staff, children and families from The Ark are embracing the new year in style.

After almost two years of planning, the Tokoroa Childcare Centre Inc will celebrate the opening of its newly established Waka Room and a freshly painted centre.

Operations manager Jill Brillant led the bulk of the project on behalf of the management team.

‘‘The Waka Room will offer a wide variety of activities, from pretend cooking to computer games,’’ she said.

‘‘One of our many focuses is to ensure we provide spaces for learning and developmental opportunities for all our varied age children.’’

The centre was founded in 1989 by young local business people – Jill Lagas, the Bruntons, Busfields and Gardiners.

The centre prides itself on its continued striving for success and commitment to investing in the future of Tokoroa.

New upgrade: Children from the Tokoroa Childcare Centre – The Ark will enjoy their newly established classroom.
