Bikers cruise in with a cheque

South Waikato News - - NEWS -

There was nothing aimless or incidental about a trip Tokoroa Random Riders made to the Waikato Hospital.

The staunch- looking bikers dropped off a cheque for $1500 to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter’s base in Decemebr.

Club secretary Thomas Lee said thankfully none of their riders had ever called on its services but they appreciated the work the life-saving organisation has done.

The money was raised during an annual ride the group ventured out on – last year it donated $ 1000 to the same cause.

They arranged to deliver the funds in person while out on a Sunday cruise, however, the helicopter was tasked to a mission just before their arrival.
