Where did it start?
1963- First recorded lawn mower races in Twelve Mile, Indiana. Winner of the first race, Phil Eckelbarger from Peru.
2003- New Zealand’s first mower racer event was held at Omokoroa School near Tauranga as part of their school gala.
2007- The first race meeting in Feilding was at the Manawatu Garden Festival and has been a regular feature of that festival.
