Sports Awards 2014:

Sport Waikato is again ac­knowl­edg­ing sport­ing ex­cel­lence in the re­gion. District Sports Awards nom­i­na­tions are open now, clos­ing Fri­day Oc­to­ber 10. Cat­e­gory win­ners go for­ward to be con­sid­ered for the pres­ti­gious Brian Perry Waikato Re­gional Sports Awards held on Thurs­day Jan­uary 29, 2015.

Clubs, schools and sports or­gan­i­sa­tions need to take the time to fill in a nom­i­na­tion form so the achieve­ments of peo­ple in our district can be high­lighted. Sport Waikato makes it as easy as pos­si­ble to nom­i­nate on­line. From Ref­eree/ Um­pire of the Year to Team of the Year, our cat­e­gories re­flect the var­i­ous roles in sport. The South Waikato Awards is Mon­day Novem­ber 10 at the South Waikato Sports and Event Cen­tre, Toko­roa.

Nom­i­nate on­line at sport­, forms also at South Wai- kato Sport of­fice, 43 Swanston St. Pu­taruru Col­lege Ex­change: Pu­taruru Col­lege has its sports ex­change against Te Aroha Col­lege on Thurs­day Au­gust 21 at Pu­taruru Col­lege.

8.45am: Bad­minton at the sta­dium in town

11.00am: A Net­ball, First XI Boys Soc­cer, Se­nior Boys Bas­ket­ball, Chess at Pu­taruru Col­lege

12.30pm: Se­nior Girls Bas­ket­ball, First XI Girls Soc­cer, First XV Rugby at Pu­taruru Col­lege
