Claim­ing poverty is get­ting worse is scare­mon­ger­ing.

Left wingers jus­tify higher taxes and a bloated gov­ern­ment. Any gov­ern­ment re­dis­tribut­ing bil­lions more would in­crease de­pen­dence on state wel­fare. They say child poverty in New Zealand is get­ting worse, that the gap be­tween rich and poor is widen­ing.
