South Waikato News - - NEWS -

Fresh vegetables are not only good for your wellbeing but have also raised a healthy $500 for the Blue Light programme.

The Tokoroa Community Gardens raised enough profits to cover running costs and donate to the programme.

Gardener Robyn Wolfe said the organisation was chosen for its input into the community.

‘‘We’re looking around all the time for groups that help a large amount of people,’’ she said.

Wolfe said in the past they have donated to organisations such as St John and the Cancer Society.

Donations have not become a regular occurrence yet but with more support it could, she said.

‘‘The more people who support us the more we can support the community.’’
