Tok tenors delight

South Waikato News - - BUSINESS HOTLINE - By CHAD GOESSI

After watching the fantastic Australian Ten Tenors and the Irish Tenors a germ of an idea began to grow in Lyn Murphy’s brain. We can do that – our local men can sing just as well. And so began a long planning period until we came to the amazing Tok Tenors and Friends opening this Saturday at the Tokoroa Little Theatre.

Five local men show that great depth of talent is available in this town. Doug, Keith, Grant, Jayleb and Stevie have been honed to har- monious perfection by our vocal goddess – Lana Ahomiro. Add to this the amazing light show provided by our resident techno geek John ten Velde, and this is one fantastic show. And let us not forget the friends, the gorgeous Marilyn Kingi or our very own talented Sasha Te Whare.

The songs range from Queen, Eagles and Simon and Garfunkel to Radiohead and Miley Cyrus.

The season opens on November 15 at 7.30pm and runs through to the following Saturday, November 22. There will also be a matinee on Sunday, November 16, at 2pm.

Fantastic show: Jayleb Dean, left, Keith Mallet, Doug Erutoe, Grant Hall and Stevie Noe are ready to wow audiences with the Tok Tenors.
