Guiney wins role as Fon­terra farmer-di­rec­tor

New Fon­terra di­rec­tor Leonie Guiney’s days of pub­licly scold­ing the company for its grow­ing dis­con­nect with its farmer own­ers are over, but she says she will still press for re­form in its at­ti­tude to its farm­ers. The critic of Fon­terra’s cap­i­tal re­struc­ture to in­clude pub­licly listed shares re­ceived 26.7 per cent of the vote at the farmer-di­rec­tor elec­tions, and John Mon­aghan and David McLeod were re­turned.
