Players turn it on for touch games
The weather may have been grim but that certainly was not reflected in the players’ spirits at the Tatou Tatou annual mixed touch tournament.
Players young and old came as far as Auckland to take part in the tournament held at the Putaruru Rugby and Football Club on Saturday.
Organiser Mark Hotham was pleased with the day’s event and the attitudes of players.
‘‘It was a very successful day with a great atmosphere and lots of laughs and it’s a special day for many of us – catching up and playing with whanau and friends.’’
The 16 teams were made up of three age groups that ranged from under 16s to over 40s.
