Warriors from all over the North Island will be battling it out at the South Waikato Sport and Events Centre next month.

For the second year, Eclipse Fitness and Combat Gym is putting on a live fight night that will see 17 fights take place.

Event co-ordinatior Christina Ogle said five of the fighters are from Tokoroa.

They will be fighting three oneminute rounds with times of the last event, an MMA fight, still to be decided.

Last year the event ran smoothly but they have moved it earlier in the year to try to get a bigger audience, she said.

The night is a fundraiser for the gym which offers discounted training fees for those who are struggling financially, she said.

‘‘We are trying to promote the gym for the young people to get them off the streets.’’

Trainer Richard Ogle said there are so many youth who would flourish with some training.

‘‘ I don’t want them to be intimidated.’’

Warrior Warfare 2 is on March 7. Doors open at 5pm. Information call Christina on 021 0821 6147.
