Rugby sessions start as young as 2 years
As if Tokoroa doesn’t produce enough rugby talent already, development is starting even earlier.
Rugbytots, New Zealand’s first rugby specific play programme for 2 to 7-year-olds, is now offering sessions in Tokoroa.
The weekly sessions teach children all aspects of rugby including running with a ball, catching, kicking and scoring a try.
Rugbytots Tokoroa owner and coach Nico Oosthuizen said it is a great way to introduce the sport to a younger age group.
