The newly built wicket was christened with a win by Tokoroa junior cricketers.

Playing on the Host Lion’s artificial wicket, the Tokoroa Juniors posted 138 for 2 wickets.

Big hitting Ryan Hall made 38 greatly supported by Jayden Meyer and Maru Howden-Turnbull who both made 25.

It wasn’t long before Rotorua were all out for only 39 runs giving Tokoroa a big 99-run win.

There was no player of the day as too many boys did too well to choose between them, coach Grant Hall said.
