It was a buzz for Tokoroa primary school students who raced their hearts out in this year’s Interschool Swimming Sports.

As well as aiming to win their own races, the swimmers were vying for the Tokoroa Active Kids Incentive Swimming Shield which was donated by Team Energize and sponsored by Thomas Jewellers.

Sport Waikato energizer Takimoana Morehu- Cookson saidpoints were tallied up to determine a new winner this year.

‘‘ Last year’s winners, Amisfield, were keen to hold on to it but it was taken out in a very close race by Strathmore.’’

Morehu- Cookson wanted to thank Forest View High School Kiwi Sport leaders and a group from Te Wananga o Aotearoa who helped run the event.
