Flu vaccines urged

South Waikato News - - NEWS / HE PU¯RONGORONGO -

Winter has only just begun and the Tokoroa Medical Centre is reminding patients to get in for influenza vaccinations.

Practice manager Susan Ryan said vaccines, that came out in April, would be available until the end of July.

They are free for some patients.

To get the best immunity, they should be administered as soon as possible, she said.

‘‘The advice is that the sooner they come in and get it the sooner they get immunity.’’

So far this year, more than 3600 people have received the vaccine at the clinic.
