So what’s new?

South Waikato News - - OPINION / KI O¯KU NEI WHAKAARO -

As you walk through the state of the art facility this weekend, you will see Rangiura missed nothing.

The upgrade is stage one of three, which saw 11 new bedrooms with ensuites, a new lounge and dining area and two new sluice rooms.

The café, hairdressers and spa treatment room really are the icing on the cake in the new development. Flat screen televisions and access to internet are a sign of the futuristic approach the design team took.

“We need to meet the changing demand…It’s made for the baby boomers because we’re the ones who are going to need these services eventually,” stated Henry.

And there is even a cherry on top.

“One of the highlights of the new edition is we’ve installed [electronic] ceiling hoists in all bedrooms,” Henry said. “The hoists really are a significant investment however they provide greater comfort for residents and a safer working environment for all the staff. This is a unique feature of Rangiura.”

Residents, and the wider community will also be able to enjoy a fully functioning café, and we hope to encourage other organisations and local businesses to use this special facility.
