Author offers students advice
Forest View High School students got up close with award winning author Kate De Goldi in an opportunity to enhance their writing skills.
The New Zealand author has written children’s books, short stories, young adult fiction and journalism pieces.
She’s won several awards, including the New Zealand Post Book of the Year in 2009 for her novel The 10pm Question.
The visit to the Tokoroa school was organised by librarian Lyndsey Coffin in conjunction with the NZ Book Council.
A group of students learned writing techniques from the author and gained advice on how to be a better writer.
