Cargill Open Plan School’s brightest stars will shine bright in their latest production.

‘‘What a Knight," is a humorous story about a young squire who is expelled from Knight school.

Watt Cobblers reluctantly becomes Merlin’s new apprentice but trouble is never far away.

A castle full of colourful characters join in the fun including precocious princesses, a talking dragon and not forgetting, Merlin and his magic mirror.

Principal Rhonda Rayner said the whole school had been rehearsing their lines throughout the term.

‘‘Everyone will definitely be in for a surprise. It’s real magic.

‘‘It an awesome experience for our kids. You get to see them blossom. It’s a valuable opportunity.’’

The play is written by a long time favourite, writer Craig Hawes who is popular with students and teachers.

This is evident with the play being performed six-years ago.

The whole school will be involved with the production and each class will have a dance role.

Rayner said a lot of work has been put into making the night a success’’.

The final public performance will start at 7pm on Wednesday April 13 at the school. Entry fee is a gold coin donation.

Dio Quaife, Nathan Seal, Keira Winter, Natasha Chen, Tamara Warren and Kaeja Lepaio-gamlen will join their classmates in a hilarious performance guaranteed to crack a smile.
