Okoroire captain leading the way
The Okoroire Golf Club Members are gradually getting to the business end of their Club Competitions with all aspects being closely contested.
Leading the way in the ‘Club Captains Trophy’ (Best 3 of 4 Nett Rounds) is Club Captain Phil Moore who, having played all 3 of the 4 rounds to date with 2 best scores thus far totalling 124.
He is followed closely by Vice Club President Bill Pudney on 127 and hot their heels are Club President Phil Boyte, Leo de Brouwer and David Isted all on 128.
The fourth and final round is due to be played on September 6.
‘Bogey’ competition (Best 4 of 5 Rounds) is headed by Bill Oliver in the 0-28hcp Division on +10 after 3 Rounds with Phil Boyte hot on his heels on +9.
In the 29+hcp Division Clem Jay leads with an impressive +8 total competing in only 1 of the first 3 rounds followed by David Burns on +4.
‘Putting’ competition (Best 3 of 4 Rounds) is headed by Kahu Mccaskill on 52 putts after two rounds, while the ‘Secretary’s Trophy’ (Best Nett Aggregate over 4 Rounds) is being lead by Kahu Mccaskill after three rounds on 67.
‘President’s Trophy’ (Average Best 10 Cards 0-28hcp) is being lead by David Isted on 37.71 after 7 rounds.
