South Waikato News - - Your Paper, Your Place -

It is great to see an established non-profit organisation taking a long, hard look in the mirror.

Commercial entities do it all the time - they do it or they disappear.

So for the South Waikato SPCA to front up to its critics and its own members and community, takes a fair bit courage.

If you are not trying to improve at all times, then chances are you are going in the other direction.

We live in a community where things are changing all the time and we need to be questioning those who make the rules and enforce them.

The on-going stand-off over the beam in the bar on page 5 is a good example of that.

On the face of it, it seems like something that should be able to be resolved fairly quickly.

It is an extra big weekend on in Tokoroa this week, so make sure you send us your favourite pictures,

Daniel Hutchinson
