Toko­roa has had eight burglaries which is over twice the av­er­age num­ber for the week.

A 20 year old woman has been ar­rested in re­la­tion to one of the burglaries, and sev­eral other of­fences around town.

She is be­ing held in cus­tody and will ap­pear in Taupo Dis­trict Court on Wed­nes­day.

Of the other seven burglaries the ma­jor­ity took place within small in­dus­trial ar­eas of Toko­roa, with three of the lo­ca­tions be­ing tar­geted mul­ti­ple times.

Cars have been bro­ken into and a cou­ple of the ve­hi­cles have been stolen, taken for a joy ride, and later dumped within town.

In Pu­taruru there have been three burglaries through­out the week.

Two 24-year-old broth­ers have been ar­rested for two of three of the burglaries thanks to re­ports from wit­nesses.
