FROM THE EDITOR
We have an interesting mix of stories, news and views for you to mull over this week.
On page 1 we show how far we have come as a society. Horses once the standard means of transport - now have very few places to go for a walk around here.
If those nags were to go for a wander down Tokoroa’s main street, they might have a long, serious look at some of the lessthan-salubrious shop fronts. See our story on page 3 on that subject.
Things get decidedly lighthearted on pages 4-5 where we track the progress of a stolen tea cup. Go figure.
On page 7, there is something I could definitely relate to - cheap school uniforms. Having moved towns a couple of years ago, I can fully understand the cost of refitting high school students for a school.
There is plenty to read today, so keep on flicking to the back where you will find a page of pictures of the heavy hail and rain on Friday.
