FROM THE EDITOR
Addiction is a disease all on its own.
Plenty of people have it to varying degrees. It is simply something that does harm - a lot of harm judging by today’s P1, 5 and 6 package.
Some hide their disease well, others have a mild dose. Some don’t suffer any vices at all. But for many, it destroys them.
All around our region, social agencies, police and ordinary, everyday people are telling stories about what the latest life-stealing substances are doing.
Methamphetamine, synthetic cannabis and all the other dubious chemical concoctions out there are clearly having a profound effect on our people.
Parents, siblings, friends and partners are watching a real life horror show as these drugs ruin their people.
Without addiction, those we often pity for their pain or even despise for their crimes, would be perfectly functioning human beings with jobs, hobbies and normal relationships.
