FROM THE EDITOR
Sometimes it feels like the election, and politics in general, always happens somewhere else.
The key figures always look like they are in Wellington, the issues are always in the cities where all the voters are and us in the smaller towns, just cast our vote and hope for the best.
In a tight election like this one though, we actually can make a difference. One electorate could make or break a Government. Take the local Ma¯ ori electorate of Te Tai Hauauru, for example where the incumbent - Labour’s Adrian Rurawhe is locked in an intriguing battle with the Ma¯ ori Party’s Howie Tamati.
Those key battles will decide the election and it is so important for people to vote.
Labour leader Jacinda Adern stormed though the area last week and we can probably expect more of the same as candidates work themselves into the ground in the furious dash to the line.
Make sure you add your flavour on September 23.
