Four national wins for Annika
Taranaki’s Annika Rowson of Rowson Kitchens has won four awards at the National Kitchen & Bathroom Association Excellence in Design Awards.
The annual NKBA Awards recognise and celebrate exceptional and innovative New Zealand kitchen and bathroom design and manufacturing by NKBA members.
The 2018 NKBA awards panel included Glen Johns of Kitchens by Glen Johns, Davinia Sutton of Detail by Davinia Sutton, Mark Bruce of Beaver Kitchens, Alice Lines of homestyle Magazine, Toni Brandso of Material Creative, and Angela Fell of Resene Colour.
Annika won the Kitchen Distinction $25-$40,000 award, was runner-up in the Kitchen Distinction $25-$40,000 and Classic Kitchen or Bathroom categories and won the Taranaki Chapter Recognition Kitchen 2018 Award.
Judges said Annika was able to transform an existing space within a renovated home built in the early 1900s into a bold take on a traditional kitchen.
The NKBA’s highest award for kitchens — the Supreme Kitchen Design 2018 Award — went to Cube 3 Cabinetry’s Leonie Metge in Auckland. The Supreme Bathroom Design 2018 Award went to Canterbury based designer Ingrid Geldof of Ingrid Geldof Design. Geldof was also awarded Designer of the Year.
