Co-ordinator urgently needed

Stratford Press - - News -

Breast Cancer Foundation NZ urgently needs an area coordinator in Stratford to help manage volunteers and coordinate people for the annual appeal on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13.

The area co-ordinator will manage a small team of volunteers, receive and distribute stock to volunteers, oversee the appeal sites in Stratford on the appeal days, and bank the donated funds.

During the appeal, volunteers across New Zealand will raise money at more than 1000 collection points. Their efforts will fund research into new treatments, support for women going through breast cancer, and life-saving awareness and education programmes.

“The Pink Ribbon Appeal funds a large chunk of our work, so there’s a direct link between the time people give on the street and our ability to fund research, support and education programmes,” says Evangelia Henderson, chief executive of Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. “If you can help, please get in touch with us now.”
