Arthritis group in its 25th year
On the third Thursday of every month, around 20 people meet at the Holy Trinity Church hall in Stratford to share companionship and their experiences of living with arthritis.
The Stratford Arthritis Support Group is now in its 25th year and current president June Phelan says the meetings normally follow the same format of having a guest speaker before a hot drink and chat.
Some special guests attended October’s meeting, with arthritis educators Robyn Tuohy and Lori Davis present as well as Arthritis New Zealand philanthropy manager Dianne Armstrong and Isaac Parker, the national co-ordinator of volunteer engagement.
