All Whites goalkeeper Stefan Marinovic is the latest Kiwi to join the MLS after signing with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Marinovic, who has spent the past four years playing in Germany, caught the eye of Vancouver coach Carl Robinson following an impressive Confederations Cup campaign, despite the All Whites losing all three of their games. With Robinson needing to fill a spot on his roster following the departure of Italian Paolo Tornaghi, he knew he needed to act fast. ‘‘Teams in England, teams all over were chasing him,’’ Robinson said.
