New technology could see international passengers whisked through Aussie airports without having to show, or even scan, their passports. The Australian government is preparing for a landmark airport overhaul this year, aimed at making it easier for visitors to pass through international arrivals. Biometric recognition of the face, eyes, or fingerprints, matched with existing data will create a completely contactless system.
