Qatar Airways’ new Auckland-Doha route links New Zealanders to 150 destinations.

Sunday Star-Times - Escape - - FRONT PAGE -

The world’s longest flight takes 17.5 hours and covers 14,535km, and knocks Air India’s 15,127km, 15-hour DelhiSan Francisco route off its world record perch.

Unfortunately, the first passengers on the new route won’t get Qatar’s state-of-theart Airbus A350s, instead they’ll fly in on Boeing 777s.

A new transit visa scheme allows visitors to Doha an upto-96-hour stopover in the fabulous city.
