Manager of Southland Museum & Art Gallery, and lecturer at Southern Institute of Technology. Live in Invercargill Gael: We don’t use this room that often but Ross uses it quite a lot because he has a desk in here. If the boys are home they’re more inclined to be on the computer or watching TV – that’s if they’re not out and about. They’re both going to university next year in Dunedin. It’s the nearest, a couple of hundred kilometres away, but still I’ll miss them, especially with both of them leaving at once.

I’ve been collecting china since 1980. Ross went to Europe and brought me back a piece of French china – a Saint Cloud sugar bowl. It started from there.

Oh dear, do I admit that fireplace is a fake one? It was an open fireplace but all the warmth goes up the chimney. So we’ve got heat pumps.
