It’s tempting to be all about spring dresses, now that the season’s officially here. But a layered approach is more adaptable for changeable weather. her. This week’s pieces all lend themselves to flexible dressing – they can be worn over or under each other. And slip p dresses are back a vengence. Dismiss them if you willill as underwear, but they’re ideal under dresses and shirts or over T-shirts, mesh and lace. The kind of things ideal to pack for travel. Pants under dresses or tunics are having a high-fashion moment too. I favour a fitted pant with a little stretch for that purpose.

The underwear and tights, of course, only work in one way, but make it onto this page page on performance attributes that fit my brief: comfortable and adaptable items that make dressing easier. The bra and knickers are part of Bendon’s new Body range of pieces designed for comfort and wearability – they’ve nixed the seams and knitted the edging for a smooth fit.
