Party brawl

A man was critically injured in a stabbing after a 21st birthday in Lower Hutt’s Naenae descended into a street brawl. A neighbour said the mood turned "aggressive and angry" as about 50 people moved out onto the street. The critically injured man was stabbed six times. A 20-year-old man appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court yesterday charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
