Fatal crash

A man died after his car hit a power pole in South Taranaki yesterday afternoon. Police said the crash happened about 4.15pm on Ketemarae Rd, near Hawera. The man was the sole occupant of the car and there were no other injuries. The man had been "heavily trapped" in the car and the power pole was on a lean. The police serious crash unit are investigating.
