Six for Pascoe
Para swimming: Sophie Pascoe closed out her national short course championships campaign in style, with another world record-breaking effort at the Sir Owen G. Glenn National Aquatic Centre in Auckland on Friday night. The 24-year-old from Christchurch ended an outstanding meet, by reclaiming the 210 100m butterfly world record, with a time of 1:03.13, beating the record held by Australian Paige Leonhardt, by almost four seconds. It meant Pascoe came away with six world records, having set seven if you count that on Wednesday she did so twice in the SM10 200m individual medley – first in the heats, before bettering her mark in the final. ‘‘It’s been a pleasure to be back home to race and be a part of a great week,’’ Pascoe said.
