Kiwi bags world title
Kiwi snowboarder Zoi Sadowski-Synnott won the world slopestyle title in the United States yesterday. The 17-year-old was confirmed as the winner after the final was cancelled because of bad weather in Park City, Utah. The title follows Sadowski-Synnott claiming a gold medal at the X-Games last month and her historic Olympic bronze medal last year. Sadowski-Synnott won slopestyle silver at the 2017 world championships and has now gone one better. Sadowski-Synnott was the top qualifier at Park City with a score of 91.75. That result held when high winds forced organisers to eventually abandon the final. Silje Norendal (Norway) claimed silver and Jamie Anderson (US) the bronze.
