THIS IS NOT A TOILET

Brahe said.

‘‘The happy campers park out the front. They’ve got hoses they connect to their vehicles,’’ he said.

‘‘Why should they be able to get 30 litres of fresh water for free when I pay $2000 per year in rates for commercial water?

‘‘It’s called the Golden Mile. We pay golden rates,’’ Brahe said.

‘‘Someone should put a lock on the tap.’’

Brahe said he had rung the council once, but it appeared no action had been taken.

Lewis said residents with ideas could contact the council by email, phone, social media, or by calling into an office.

‘‘This could be anything, including suggestions for signage,’’ he said.
