Discovery Centre launch
Mind Junction are set to launch their new Discovery Centre.
For the past 10 years, Mind Junction has been providing Taupo’s visitors a fun and entertaining environment to enjoy fun, family friendly attractions like New Zealand’s only public LEGO display, Giant Maze, Mini Golf, a Shooting and Flying simulator plus model boats and trains.
Now, they are ready to launch their latest investment - the Discovery Centre.
The new Discovery Centre aims to help young people learn about science through fun installations and will open on the June 9 at 5:30pm.
Co-owner and Co-Founder of Mind Junction, Trish Mayhill said the Discovery Centre will allow young people in Taupo to experience some of the science they learn about in school in a fun, hands-on, interactive way.
‘‘We hope it excites young people about science while also providing an entertaining day out for adults,’’ she said.
There are 12 different zones for visitors to engage with and test themselves and their friends on.
These include displays on space, the human body, the making of Earth, electricity & magnetism and visual illusions.
Husband and wife owners, Trish and Jeff, have spent the past three years designing and building the new Discovery Centre, with most of the work and construction being done by the couple and their two children.
Mind Junction would like to welcome any and all local organisations to join Trish and Jeff on the opening night of the Discovery Centre and experience Taupo’s newest attraction.
