Bush search undertaken, no new clues
Police came up empty-handed after searching a forest area near Kinloch in connection with the murder of Scott John Henry.
The body of the 48-year-old was found at his property on Whangamata Road on Thursday, 20, July.
On Tuesday police searched an area of the Pureora Forest near the ‘‘Centre of the North Island’’ track said Detective Senior Sergeant John Wilson, Bay of Plenty CIB.
Police searched the extensive rural property, which included several hectares of bush.
There were assisted by search and rescue specialists from Taupo and Rotorua.
The search on Tuesday revealed nothing further of interest to add to what has previously been found at this location, Wilson said.
‘‘It was focused on finding any evidence which can help us to determine who killed Mr Henry, and why.’’
Wilson said police wanted to hear from truck drivers who may have dash cam footage that could assist in the inquiry.
Police continue to welcome any information which will assist investigators.
