Time for singles to mingle

Steph Holloway’s Taupo¯ love crusade is going to the next level.

The Taupo¯ Times highlighted the apparent ‘‘man drought’’ in the region a couple of months ago, with Steph Holloway calling for interest from singles and sponsors for a match-making event.

That converaation sparked lots of interest from men and women looking for a match making opportunity.

Now, Holloway has organised her first ‘Yes to Love’ event and registrations are open for the October event.

She has already spotted about 14 potential matches, from the registrations so far.

‘‘The information we have so far pretty much tells me I was right when I said, ‘‘On any given day there is someone single where you are.’’

The night at Waikarei Resort will start with a ‘Yes to Love’ cocktail, followed by a cabaretstyle, seated meet, followed by some movement around the room to meet as many people as possible.

Steph said she was amazed by the generosity of local businesses that came forward immediately to help with sponsors and donations.

‘‘It would make the ‘Yes to Love’ team very happy if we could help bring love into peoples’ lives,’’ said Steph.

The team are looking for single people in all age groups to come forward.
