STEPH RANGI A Taupo¯ school who benefited from the ANZ Premiership last year is recommending others apply as the benefit is huge if selected.

Taupo¯ -nui-a-Tia (TNT) applied for the ANZ Premiership last year – which offers assistance that will help netball fans achieve their netball aspirations – and received a new set of bespoke uniforms.

TNT sports co-ordinator, Simone Stewart, said the new uniforms they received last year took a huge financial burden off the students and the school.

‘‘We have 13 teams and with having to replace uniforms all the time it was a big financial cost we have to put on the students,’’ she said.

Stewart said she doesn’t want to push her luck but will be applying this year and recommends after people should as well.

‘‘You’d be crazy not to. The process to apply is super simple and the benefits from them are huge.’’

The support is not limited to kit, it could be anything big, small or off-the-wall.

In the past ANZ support has spanned high performance netball gear, expert coaching, court and club makeovers, to dream experiences.

In 2017 one lucky young player was granted the opportunity to be the mini-manager of an ANZ Premiership team for a day as a reminder to continue working hard and not give up on your netball dreams.

And a long serving coach was surprised by stars of ANZ Premiership and awarded a trip to watch the Silver Ferns play in Australia, as a thank you for her commitment and inspiration .

Over the past five years ANZ has supported teams, clubs, schools and players all over New Zealand to the value of nearly $500,000.
