Trinity Concert on soon
This year will be the 24th Trinity Concert held in Taupo¯, continuing its tradition of showcasing young musicians’ achievements.
Taupo¯ music students who have sat Trinity College London practical examinations during the current year will present a varied programme of instrumental and vocal items at this year’s concert on Wednesday, October 17.
The programme will feature piano, strings, flute, clarinet, singing and trumpet items covering a wide range of styles and genres, performed by talented young musicians from early grades to advanced level.
This year, two pianists who recently gained their ATCL diplomas with Distinction — Eden Clapperton and Fergus Byett — will also perform.
Trinity College London is one of only two global international examination boards, operating in over 50 countries.
The examiner this year is Peter Wells, an exponent in Baroque music, professional singer and musicologist who has examined in many countries.
