This year will be the 24th Trin­ity Con­cert held in Taupo¯, con­tin­u­ing its tra­di­tion of show­cas­ing young mu­si­cians’ achieve­ments.

Taupo¯ mu­sic stu­dents who have sat Trin­ity Col­lege Lon­don prac­ti­cal ex­am­i­na­tions dur­ing the cur­rent year will present a var­ied pro­gramme of in­stru­men­tal and vo­cal items at this year’s con­cert on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 17.

The pro­gramme will fea­ture pi­ano, strings, flute, clar­inet, singing and trum­pet items cov­er­ing a wide range of styles and gen­res, per­formed by tal­ented young mu­si­cians from early grades to ad­vanced level.

This year, two pi­anists who re­cently gained their ATCL diplo­mas with Dis­tinc­tion — Eden Clap­per­ton and Fer­gus Byett — will also per­form.

Trin­ity Col­lege Lon­don is one of only two global in­ter­na­tional ex­am­i­na­tion boards, op­er­at­ing in over 50 coun­tries.

The ex­am­iner this year is Peter Wells, an ex­po­nent in Baroque mu­sic, pro­fes­sional singer and mu­si­col­o­gist who has ex­am­ined in many coun­tries.
