Office turns pink for cause

Taupo & Turangi Weekender - - News -

It was a sea of pink at Bayleys Taupo¯ on Tuesday when the agency put on its own special morning tea to raise funds for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

Organised by office manager Rachel Maxwell and events coordinator Lizzy Hayes, the office turned pink for a day, with staff dressing in pink and selling 200 pink iced cupcakes for the cause.

The cupcakes, which were paid for by Bayleys and supplied by Strictly Sweet Cakes by Kelz, were sold for $4 each, with all the money going to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation. Rachel says the agency was asked by the foundation if they would help support its annual fundraising drive and wasted no time in getting on board.

“It’s such an amazing foundation to get behind so we though why not do it for a day — everyone can dress up in pink and come and get a cupcake,”she says.
