Time to stop the poisoning

Te Awamutu Courier - - News - SIGGI HENRY

In response to Anita Lassman’s cautionary tale of 1080, I would like to congratulate her on the best story I have heard about 1080.

The absolute obsession with dousing our clean, green, 100 per cent natural countryside with poison needs to stop.

I listened to MP Maggie Barry last year on her election campaign trail talking about pest-free by 2050. Her answer is more 1080.

Apparently according to her only possums, stoats and rats eat 1080.

I did challenge her on that, but she was extremely dismissive bordering on rude.

It is time to rethink and it is time for the Green Party to be ‘green’ and do something about this terrible practice.
