Nine teams still in contention
Te Awamutu Darts subsidiary round is intensifying with nine teams still in division one contention for the championship.
O¯ haupo¯, WWMC Hunters, Tungstens and Rosetown Rockets are assured of retaining their division one status from last season.
Those jostling for the remaining two spots in the six team division one competition over the last two weeks of matches are Warriors, O¯ haupo¯ Tigers, Misfits, WWMC Dragons and Rosetown Rebels.
There were two 180s thrown in week 11, Damon Warbrick’s maximum helping second equal placed WWMC Hunters to a 10-5 win over WWMC Dragons. Paul Cleaver threw a 180 for the opposition.
Misfits chalked up their fifth win dealing to Warriors 11-4, winning the pairs 7-2 and singles 4-2.
Unbeaten O¯ haupo¯ bullied their Tigers’ clubmates to the tune of 15-0.
Joint second placed Tungstens were only slightly less impressive accounting for WWMC Raiders 14-1.
Closest match of the night saw RSA Bombers pip Rosetown Thorns 8-7, gaining their slight edge in the pairs, 5-4.
Rosetown Rebels kept their division one hopes alive with a 12-3 win over RSA Allsorts. Rebels will fancy their chances of winning both their last two matches against O¯ haupo¯ Tigers and Rosetown Thorns.
