Council named finalist
Waipa¯ District Council has been recognised for its work using information and communication technologies.
The Council has been named a finalist in the Association of Local Government Information Management (ALGIM) awards for work on its 10-Year Plan.
As part of its engagement strategy Council built a stand-alone website, used virtual reality goggles, created specific content for social media channels plus developed videos and an animated video series.
Those efforts have put the Council in contention for the ALGIM Best Digital Service Award entry to be announced later this year.
