Moa Experience helps buy plants

Te Puke Times - - NEWS -

A planting day last week at Pãpãmoa Hills park was a spin-off from a trail running event held last year.

Some of the money raised from the inaugural Moa Experience held on the tracks of Pãpãmoa Hills and Summer Hill farm, was used to buy plants that were planted around the carpark by junior members of Pãpãmoa Running Buddies.

This year’s Moa Experience takes place on Sunday over a 15km course that takes runners through a variety of terrain including pine forests, creek crossings, open farmland and bush.

Organiser Elle Reid describes the track as “a challenging course with some technical elements, designed to give you the full Moa Experience”.
