Celebration of local business
Tomorrow evening the cream of Te Puke’s business community will be rewarded for their contributions to the district.
The 2018 Te Puke Business Excellence Awards ceremony will take place at Te Puke War Memorial Hall.
The process began back in July when nominations opened.
The awards, now in their 11th year, are run by Te Puke Economic Development Group.
Managing director Mark Boyle says there has once again been a good number of nominations and he is expecting between 100 and 150 people at the awards dinner.
“It’s a good celebration of the different sectors of business and there has been a very high quality of nominees with lots of new businesses and new business owners and operators in retail and some new and different businesses in the service sector — people who haven’t been part of it before.”
The guest speaker is Sir Gordon Tietjens.
