Young gun supreme with golden double
Young Te Puke shooter James Sullivan has shot his way to gold.
The Te Puke Intermediate School Year 7 student won two gold medals at the recent Bay of Plenty District Trap Shooting competition.
He won the C Grade Single Barrel division, shooting 20 clay birds out of a possible 25. In this contest, he only had one shot to hit each moving target.
He later went on to finish second in the single rise division, where he had two shots to hit the target and was second in the points score.
This gave him the top points score overall, winning the junior championship title.
