The an­nual Te Puke High School Sports Awards were held re­cently at the Or­chard Church in Te Puke.

It was a won­der­ful to be able to cel­e­brate the cul­ture and suc­cess of sport at TPHS with our amaz­ing com­mu­nity.

The night al­lowed us to recog­nise and cel­e­brate our ath­letes as well as our coaches, man­agers and vol­un­teers be­fore a packed au­di­ence.

Our team awards fea­tured our ath­letes be­ing recog­nised with the most im­proved player as well as the most valu­able player award for each team com­pet­ing this year for Te Puke High School.

We also handed out an amaz­ing se­lec­tion of ma­jor awards to those ath­letes who go above and be­yond in the pur­suit of ex­cel­lence in sport at Te Puke High School.

Our ma­jor award win­ners in­cluded:

Vol­un­teer of the Year — Jeremy Ball

Com­mit­ment to Sport — Robert Veale

SEU Sports­man­ship Award — Samir Gu­rung

Man­ager of the Year — Tracey Mouat

Coach of the Year — Jack­son Reuben-Swin­ton

Ju­nior Sportswoman of the Year — Jorja Mouat

Ju­nior Sports­man of the Year — Robert Veale

Team of the Year — Boys’ 1st XV rugby team

Whana Bar­ton Award — Kar­lina Steiner

Sportswoman of the Year — Shayla Thomp­son

Sports­man of the Year — Ethan Mil­som
