Latin music aims to help Hospice

The sounds of Latin Amer­ica are com­ing to Kerik­eri with the Mate­cito Latin Band per­form­ing to raise money for Hospice.

Kerik­eri fit­ness group Latin Fit have or­gan­ised the per­for­mance to raise money for Hospice Mid-North­land.

‘‘The event is go­ing to be a fundraiser for the Hospice as many of us have been touched by the gen­eros­ity and amaz­ing work this group of do,’’ or­gan­iser Luz Fisher says.

Fisher’s fa­ther in law passed away a year ago with can­cer.

‘‘The fam­ily were very thank­ful for the in­cred­i­ble work Hospice did to help him and help the fam­ily in those dif­fi­cult days.

‘‘The event is go­ing to be a fun night for a great cause. The band is amaz­ing and they will have ev­ery­one danc­ing all night.’’

All pro­ceeds will go di­rectly to Hospice Mid-North­land. The or­gan­i­sa­tion pro­vides pal­lia­tive care for pa­tients from Taupo Bay in the North to Towai and from coast to coast in­clud­ing South Hokianga.

The event will be held at the Kerik­eri RSA on March 3. Doors open from 7pm.

Tick­ets are $25 per per­son and can be pur­chased from Car­pet Court, Kleen + Press, Mr. Taco and Hospice Kerik­eri. Door sales will also be avail­able.
